As this is my Mom's birthday month,I wanted to pay tribute to her. The little black haired beauty on the left is my Mama. She was born in The Hague, Holland in 1926. She immigrated to The United States through Ellis Island with my Father in 1961.Her given name was Cornelia, but on her first day here she changed it to Connie Jane. Everyone who has ever known her would tell you what a loving , giving and hard working woman she was. Her favorite thing in the world was helping people . I say,"was",not because she is deceased, but because she is a victim of the horrible disease called Alzheimers.Some days she doesn't know me and some days she is mad or sad and there is nothing I can do to help her.
Beautiful Lady, Connie Jane , I miss you and love you and thank you for all you have done for me , all your love and acceptance and sacrifices. I cannot see the keys for my tears , but I wanted to pay you this very small tribute.On October 21st you will be 82 years old and you will not even know it.
I love you Mama, fly home to Jesus! Say hello to Dad and baby Stephen and wait for me at the gate....your loving daughter , Marianne
